Community Living Parry Sound (CLPS) has been working with people with developmental disabilities and their families over 60 years, supporting people to build better lives in their community. The work we do is driven by our common goal of living in a community where everyone has the power and freedom to determine the life they want. As our programs and services continue to grow, we are seeking the perfect addition to our support services team. The ideal Community Inclusion and Support Facilitator is energized by the CLPS mission, and passionate about working with people. The successful candidate will help to drive our mission forward through the provision of person-centred supports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Secondary School diploma
- Diploma or active progress toward the completion of a post-secondary diploma in the human services field
- Minimum of one year working with a special needs population with progressive and related experience
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license
- Flexibility to meet changing needs of people and their families
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends and awake overnight shifts
- Able to work independently and as part of a team within intensive support relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting adults with personal care
- Valid First Aid/CPR Level C certification
- Valid Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification
- Access to a reliable vehicle for business use with minimum $1,000,000 liability insurance coverage
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and relative comfort with use of technology in general
COMPENSATION + BENEFITS:
- Rate of Pay: Starting Rate is $27.10 as per our collective agreement
