Community Living Parry Sound (CLPS) has been working with people with developmental disabilities and their families for over 60 years, supporting people to build better lives in their community. The work we do is driven by our common goal of living in a community where everyone has the power and freedom to determine the life they want. As our programs and services continue to grow, we are seeking the perfect addition to our support services team. The ideal Community Inclusion & Support Facilitator is someone who is energized by the CLPS mission and passionate about working with people. The successful candidate wil help advance our mission through the delivery of person-directed suppport within our Supported Independent Living Team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Secondary School Diploma
- Diploma or active progress towards the completion of a post-secondary diploma in the Human Services field
- Minimum of one year working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license
- Flexibility to meet the changing needs of people and their families
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends, and awake overnight shifts
- Able to work independently and as part of a team within intensive support relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting adults with personal care
- Valid First Aid/CPR Level C certification
- Valid Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with general technology use
- Strong organizational and time management skills
COMPENSATION + BENEFITS:
- Rate of Pay: Starting rate is $27.10 as per our collective agreement

Note that upon hire, you will be required to complete an Enhanced Police Records Check, which includes a Vulnerable Sector Check, and obtain both CPR/First Aid Level C and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certifications within three months of hire (if certifications are not currently valid).
Hours of work will include a variety of shifts, such as weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
