1 Year Full Time Contract (possible extension up to 18 Months)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communication & Marketing

  • Develop, coordinate and implement communications and marketing strategies
  • Write, edit, and design accessible, eye-catching, and informative content for sharing across various platforms, including print and digital media
  • Administer and update the agency’s website and social media channels
  • Support community engagement through marketing campaigns and event promotions
  • Coordinate and support communication related to agency projects and initiatives

Information Technology

  • Monitor and maintain agency computer networks and systems
  • Act as the primary point of contact for staff requiring internal (help desk) IT support
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors and support services when required

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, communications and/or related fields
  • Experience with coordinating community events is an asset
  • Strong written communication and creative content development skills
  • Information Technology experience is an asset
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with various software and web-based tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, and high attention to detail
  • Professional, approachable, team-focused with strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience with developing organizational strategic communications is an asset

BENEFITS AND REMUNERATION: 

  • 2 weeks of paid vacation
  • 24 hours of sick leave
  • 35 hours work per week scheduled Monday-Friday, paid $27.05/hour
