Communications and IT Coordinator

1 Year Full Time Contract (possible extension up to 18 Months)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communication & Marketing
- Develop, coordinate and implement communications and marketing strategies
- Write, edit, and design accessible, eye-catching, and informative content for sharing across various platforms, including print and digital media
- Administer and update the agency’s website and social media channels
- Support community engagement through marketing campaigns and event promotions
- Coordinate and support communication related to agency projects and initiatives
Information Technology
- Monitor and maintain agency computer networks and systems
- Act as the primary point of contact for staff requiring internal (help desk) IT support
- Coordinate with external IT vendors and support services when required
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Post-secondary education in business administration, communications and/or related fields
- Experience with coordinating community events is an asset
- Strong written communication and creative content development skills
- Information Technology experience is an asset
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with various software and web-based tools
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, and high attention to detail
- Professional, approachable, team-focused with strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team
- Experience with developing organizational strategic communications is an asset
BENEFITS AND REMUNERATION:
- 2 weeks of paid vacation
- 24 hours of sick leave
- 35 hours work per week scheduled Monday-Friday, paid $27.05/hour
