Children’s Respite Supports

This service provides 1:1 support to children with disabilities outside of their home. Respite is an integral part of our service delivery to families in the community. Our focus is not limited to the child or youth, but rather ensuring the wellbeing of the entire family unit, providing support that is creative, flexible, and responsive to evolving needs. By entrusting the care and support of their loved ones to our skilled providers, parents and guardians can experience temporary relief from their caregiving routine, giving them the resources (e.g. time and energy) to focus on their own care and support.

Asking for help is hard... we’re here to make it as simple as possible.

Our team that specializes in supporting children and families is here to help you navigate the process of applying for funding for respite supports. Once your family is approved to receive the funding, you can choose to go through the process of hiring your own respite provider or you can apply to receive services from Community Living Parry Sound. (Will eventually hyperlink the application form once it has been looked over and approved).

Eligible families have a child (or children) under the age of 18 with varying support needs (developmental or intellectual disability and/or a physical disability).
