Community Living Parry Sound (CLPS) has been working with people with developmental disabilities and their families for over 60 years, supporting people to build better lives in their community. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The successful candidate must:

  • be a new entrant into the workforce, transitioning to a new career, or unemployed/underemployed and entering a new field;
  • have not previously participated in a NOHFC-funded internship;
  • be at least 18 years of age; and
  • reside, and be legally entitled to work, in Canada.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate:

  • is required to have post-secondary education in Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
  • must have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team;
  • must be comfortable with technology and be proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • must have access to a reliable vehicle for business use and Valid G Driver’s license;
  • would benefit from knowledge of the Passport Program and other government-funded services.

KEY DUTIES

The successful candidate will:

  • Coordinate flexible, person-directed support services with individuals and staff, ensuring their needs and preferences are met;
  • Facilitate the development and execution of planning goals for individuals based on available budgets, including activities such as day trips;
  • Purchase items and supplies that enhance individuals’ quality of life;
  • Assist in the administration of funding in accordance with the guidelines of the Passport Program;
  • Providing essential administrative support to the Individualized Funding team by creating promotional materials, coding invoices, and interacting with people receiving services as needed;
  • Collaborate with the finance team to process invoices and ensure individuals’ budgets are accurate and up-to-date.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Hourly Rate: $23.67
Schedule: 35 Hours/week, Monday-Friday
Vacation: 2 Weeks
