PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
The LifeShare program was developed to offer people who have a developmental disability an opportunity to live as part of a family. The family and the person can experience the enrichment of sharing a home and a lifestyle with each other, within the district of West Parry Sound.

How to Become a Family Home Provider
QUALIFICATIONS:
No professional qualifications are necessary, but anyone wishing to provide support in their home must be a responsible, caring person, or family and successfully complete the screening and orientation process.
TRAINING:
Community Living Parry Sound will provide the necessary orientation and training required to become a Family Home Provider.
SUPPORT:
LifeShare will serve people who may require a moderate level of support, and money management; as well as those who have more challenging needs. In addition, Family Home Providers will receive ongoing support, supervision and regularly scheduled respite from Community Living Parry Sound.
REMUNERATION:
Excellent remuneration will be provided.
Sponsorship of the LifeShare Program will be an ongoing responsibility of Community Living Parry Sound with Family Home Providers receiving a portion of their financial reimbursement through the agency.
