COVID-19 Update
March 18, 2020
Posted in: Uncategorized
As promised, we are continuously monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak as it rapidly evolves. The measures that have already been put in place are to protect the at-risk population Community Living Parry Sound serves. Effective today, our administrative building at 38 Joseph St will no longer be open. Additionally, the residences at Addie Street and Burritt Street will no longer be open to non-essential visitors, including family members. Family members were contacted today and were given the choice to care for their loved ones in their own homes for the duration of the pandemic.
While these measures seem extreme, it’s important to recognize that the majority of people supported by Community Living Parry Sound are older adults and because of this, many are immunocompromised. We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of everyone involved. If you would like to learn more about COVID-19 and how it impacts the people supported by Community Living Parry Sound, please watch this 30-minute presentation.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
